Pelayo Villoldo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vito Alsina in the 5th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Celso Martel in the 7th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pelayo Villoldo saved Austral FC from getting behind. Pelayo Villoldo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Celso Martel's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sergio Pedro in the 10th minute of play forced C.S.D Punta Ballena's goalkeeper Jorrin Artiz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pelayo Villoldo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Celso Martel, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. When the match had gone on for 17 minutes, Pepillo Francia put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Jorrin Artiz. Vito Alsina kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in C.S.D Punta Ballena's zone, Sergio Pedro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jorrin Artiz came out of the goal and Sergio Pedro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Pelayo Villoldo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Celso Martel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 38 minutes into the game, Ismael Oñatibia was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Austral FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave C.S.D Punta Ballena the free kick. A collision led to Austral FC getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Ismael Oñatibia hit a great ball. The supporters of Austral FC booed when C.S.D Punta Ballena was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Agustín Pirez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Austral FC's Pelayo Villoldo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Celso Martel in the 46th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Pepillo Francia to strike the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Austral FC's Pelayo Villoldo got control of the ball when Celso Martel tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Haritz Cullar during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The throw-in from Lehen Cañal in the 85th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by C.S.D Punta Ballena's Haritz Cullar. Vito Alsina's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pelayo Villoldo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. Vito Alsina took the ball and in the 86 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pelayo Villoldo. Pelayo Villoldo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. Sergio Pedro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorrin Artiz having to interfere.
