After 8 minutes, Efrain Vilardell mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Atletico Maturrango and the I.A.S.A players grew even worse after the yellow card. Torbjörn Alin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ederono Ojero's shot from short distance in the 10th minute. In the 12th minute, Ederono Ojero ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Torbjörn Alin was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Zacarias Nazario showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jerrold Arancibia in the 16th minute of the match. Atletico Maturrango's Zacarias Nazario played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jerrold Arancibia in the 18th minute of play. After 19 minutes of play, I.A.S.A's Jerrold Arancibia made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Zacarias Nazario was left in no man's land by his defense there! 22 minutes into the match, Ederono Ojero notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of I.A.S.A's Torbjörn Alin. Torbjörn Alin was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 25 minutes into the match, Atletico Maturrango's goal looked a bit too open when Gasteiz Bayas came free, but Zacarias Nazario reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of I.A.S.A booed when Atletico Maturrango was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Efrain Vilardell didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alexandro Mansilla got free with Zacarias Nazario in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 37 minutes into the match, Atletico Maturrango's goal looked a bit too open when Gasteiz Bayas came free, but Zacarias Nazario reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Torbjörn Alin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ederono Ojero in the 45th minute of play. I.A.S.A's Torbjörn Alin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodney Anievas in the 46th minute of play. With 47 minutes on the clock, Modesto Pintado commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Traycho Keremidchiev, 49 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Efrain Vilardell was the one to do the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alexandro Mansilla in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Zacarias Nazario prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, I.A.S.A's Gasteiz Bayas got a free kick in the 64th minute. Rodney Anievas's late challenge caught a I.A.S.A's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rodney Anievas helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Atletico Maturrango getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Rodney Anievas hit a great ball. 68 minutes into the game, Gasteiz Bayas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. I.A.S.A's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Atletico Maturrango the free kick. After 71 played minutes I.A.S.A got a freekick which was hit by Evis Villapun. I.A.S.A's defense didn't have a chance, in the 76th minute, when Ederono Ojero scored to the left of an out of position Torbjörn Alin, making the score, 1-3. Torbjörn Alin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ederono Ojero in the 80th minute of the match. 80 minutes into the match, I.A.S.A's goal looked a bit too open when Ederono Ojero came free, but Torbjörn Alin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 81 minutes into the game, Atletico Maturrango's Efrain Vilardell nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Torbjörn Alin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-4. In the 90th minute, Rodney Anievas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 95 minutes into the match, Atletico Maturrango's goal looked a bit too open when Jerrold Arancibia came free, but Zacarias Nazario reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 98th minute Jerrold Arancibia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zacarias Nazario saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Atletico Maturrango walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
