Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gábor Lányi in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. Nimród Vére's defense didn't have a chance, in the 41st minute, when Márton Nagy scored to the left of an out of position János Saághy, making the score, 4-2. Tihamér Tóth fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without János Saághy having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-2 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gábor Lányi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
