In the 38th minute, Someliéri's Daniel Salaj ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Marián Vrabec. Marián Vrabec yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. Simon Močarník hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Tomáš Čambora took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Simon Močarník, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 48th minute of the match Villarreal FK got a corner. Someliéri's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Múdry ran over to the corner to take the kick. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

In the 54th minute, Erik Papiernik hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Villarreal FK's Marián Vrabec played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomáš Javorčík in the 59th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Cifra in the 63rd minute of play forced Villarreal FK's goalkeeper Marián Vrabec to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 64th match minute, Villarreal FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniel Múdry to maneuver through the defense. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Simon Močarník ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 75th minute, Tomáš Javorčík made a precise shot to the right of Marián Vrabec. Villarreal FK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. Tomáš Javorčík received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Marián Vrabec tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marián Vrabec showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomáš Javorčík, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Marián Vrabec made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Cifra in the 82nd minute of play. When Daniel Múdry fell near the penalty area in the 82nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Villarreal FK's protests and gave Daniel Múdry a yellow card for diving instead. Daniel Múdry hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. The audience cheered when Gabriel Špaček's long shot passed Marián Vrabec's right side. It was 5-0, 84 minutes into the match. Daniel Cifra took the ball and in the 95 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marián Vrabec. Marián Vrabec dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-0.
