The referee gave FC Melon a penalty, 18 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Matúš Mertel, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of UFC Pivnica's Michal Kostolányi. 0-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Miroslav Koceľa in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Michal Kostolányi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Michal Hvorecký sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 30 minutes into the match, UFC Pivnica's goal looked a bit too open when Matúš Mertel came free, but Michal Kostolányi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Michal Kostolányi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Matúš Mertel, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. After the first half FC Melon were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

After a rather tough play, FC Melon's Miroslav Koceľa got a free kick in the 57th minute. Michal Kostolányi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Michal Hvorecký went, in the 64th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. In the 67th minute, FC Melon's Matúš Mertel ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Michal Kostolányi. Michal Kostolányi yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-5. Michal Kostolányi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Matúš Mertel went, in the 70th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-6 was the resulting score. UFC Pivnica's Michal Kostolányi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Michal Hvorecký in the 76th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Miroslav Koceľa in the 80th minute of play forced UFC Pivnica's goalkeeper Michal Kostolányi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 82nd minute Gabriel Vlček shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edgar Vieira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, UFC Pivnica's Dušan Paštrnák got a free kick in the 90th minute. In the 93rd minute, Matej Vlček hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. UFC Pivnica's Michal Kostolányi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save UFC Pivnica from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Peter Ďurica got free with Michal Kostolányi in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. FC Melon's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
