But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Orhan Veli Akil couldn't finish the play. Aysan Gaza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tayfun Kutbay in the 10th minute of play. In the 21st minute Gürbüz Akdemirci shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aysan Gaza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 22nd match minute, BAFRA 55 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tayfun Kutbay to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of BAFRA 55 booed when ZorlaGeldik was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rahman Bozyiğit didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 26th minute, Gürbüz Akdemirci got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Kazım Özçelik took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kuddusî Bicanoğlu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kazım Özçelik showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kuddusî Bicanoğlu in the 32nd minute of the match. The supporters of ZorlaGeldik booed when BAFRA 55 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Orhan Veli Akil didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Akşemseddin Fırıncı managed to get in a good position for a shot. BAFRA 55's supporters rose to their feet, but Akşemseddin Fırıncı was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aysan Gaza breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 37th minute, Ali Emir Kutlar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 39 played minutes BAFRA 55 got a freekick which was hit by Mustafa Yaşar Şirzat. ZorlaGeldik's Kuddusî Bicanoğlu got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to BAFRA 55 getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Orhan Veli Akil hit a great ball. In the 47th match minute, BAFRA 55 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Orhan Veli Akil to maneuver through the defense. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Kuddusî Bicanoğlu made a kick off. Kazım Özçelik took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hüsmen Erokay, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 56 played minutes BAFRA 55 got a freekick which was hit by Kubilay Öztek. After 57 minutes, Gürbüz Akdemirci mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the BAFRA 55 and the ZorlaGeldik players grew even worse after the yellow card. Kuddusî Bicanoğlu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kazım Özçelik having to interfere. After some careless play in the BAFRA 55 defense, Hüsmen Erokay kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kazım Özçelik. The BAFRA 55 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kazım Özçelik should have stopped the shot. Rahman Bozyiğit sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kuddusî Bicanoğlu in the 71st minute of play forced BAFRA 55's goalkeeper Kazım Özçelik to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to ZorlaGeldik getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Hüsmen Erokay hit a great ball. When Mustafa Yaşar Şirzat fell near the penalty area in the 81st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored BAFRA 55's protests and gave Mustafa Yaşar Şirzat a yellow card for diving instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rahman Bozyiğit in the 90th minute of play forced BAFRA 55's goalkeeper Kazım Özçelik to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Kuddusî Bicanoğlu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Abdulaziz Derem fell near the penalty area in the 92nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ZorlaGeldik's protests and gave Abdulaziz Derem a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to ZorlaGeldik getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Abdulaziz Derem hit a great ball. When the referee blew the final whistle, ZorlaGeldik could leave the field as winners, despite BAFRA 55 having more of the ball for most of the match.
