In the game's 38th minute Valar morghulis's Bülent Korkmaz took a hard shot from long distance, a kick which went into the net just to the right of Ergin İlkan and thus the score was 1-1. After some careless play in the Pirates of Black Sea defense, Abdulsamet Brothers kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ergin İlkan. The Pirates of Black Sea fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ergin İlkan should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Witold Zbydniewski in the 44th minute of play forced Pirates of Black Sea's goalkeeper Ergin İlkan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Zafer Albay hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Abdulvahit Sağlam kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ergin İlkan. Aygün Ubeydullah showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anıl Baran Şendoğan, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. A collision led to Valar morghulis getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Witold Zbydniewski hit a great ball. Tolga Sebil took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 92nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Aygün Ubeydullah. Valar morghulis's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Ergin İlkan was a little too slow when Witold Zbydniewski got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 94th minute. The score was now 1-7. The Pirates of Black Sea fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Valar morghulis were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
