The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, Newells Old Boys's Mevlüt Zeyrek sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mehmet Cezri narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Mehmet Cezri didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 5th minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. 8 minutes into the game, Zikri Temizcan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Newells Old Boys's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave THE LEGEND COME BACK the free kick. A collision led to Newells Old Boys getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Zikri Temizcan hit a great ball. The supporters of THE LEGEND COME BACK booed when Newells Old Boys was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Orçun Baloğlu didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oğuzkan Taif in the 10th minute of play forced Newells Old Boys's goalkeeper Mehmet Şefik Balcan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Mevlüt Zeyrek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Orçun Baloğlu was extremely unlucky when he, in the 22nd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Mehmet Şefik Balcan came out of the goal in the 25th minute to try and stop a shot by THE LEGEND COME BACK's Oğuzkan Taif. But to his dismay, Oğuzkan Taif quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. The supporters of THE LEGEND COME BACK booed when Newells Old Boys was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ulu Özkutsal didn't get a good kick on the ball. 35 minutes into the match, Hakkı Okcan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mehmet Şefik Balcan. Newells Old Boys's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hakkı Okcan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. 39 minutes into the match, Mevlüt Zeyrek notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of THE LEGEND COME BACK's Mehmet Cezri. Mehmet Cezri was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to THE LEGEND COME BACK getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Seyhun Melih hit a great ball. After having played for 44 minutes, Mevlüt Zeyrek managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Newells Old Boys's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mevlüt Zeyrek was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mehmet Cezri was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Hacı Hastimur showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-2 in the 46 minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-2 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Orçun Baloğlu to strike the kick off in the second half. Oktay Ayana hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. In the 57th minute, Hakkı Okcan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 58th match minute, THE LEGEND COME BACK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hakkı Okcan to maneuver through the defense. 60 minutes into the match, Newells Old Boys's goal looked a bit too open when Hakkı Okcan came free, but Mehmet Şefik Balcan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mehmet Şefik Balcan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hakkı Okcan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hazar Adalı lost his temper 69 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 68 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for THE LEGEND COME BACK! The referee gave Newells Old Boys a penalty, 71 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Çetin Elçibey, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of THE LEGEND COME BACK's Mehmet Cezri. 4-2. Mehmet Cezri took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hacı Hastimur, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mehmet Cezri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Orçun Baloğlu in the 81st minute of play. Mehmet Cezri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hacı Hastimur, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. After 83 minutes of play, Newells Old Boys's Hacı Hastimur made it 5-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mehmet Cezri was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Mevlüt Zeyrek in the 86th minute of play forced THE LEGEND COME BACK's goalkeeper Mehmet Cezri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Oğuzkan Taif received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Mehmet Şefik Balcan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Orçun Baloğlu in the 93rd minute of play forced THE LEGEND COME BACK's goalkeeper Mehmet Cezri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. THE LEGEND COME BACK's Mehmet Cezri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hacı Hastimur in the 94th minute of play. Hakkı Okcan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Hakkı Okcan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mehmet Şefik Balcan having to interfere.
