In the 9th minute, Vecdet Koçyiğit left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ÇORUM SPOR KULÜBÜ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. After some careless play in the ÇORUM SPOR KULÜBÜ defense, Ricardo Kaká kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Recep Talha Uçhan. The ÇORUM SPOR KULÜBÜ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Recep Talha Uçhan should have stopped the shot. Yalçın Olgunay came out of the goal in the 17th minute to try and stop a shot by ÇORUM SPOR KULÜBÜ's Vecdet Koçyiğit. But to his dismay, Vecdet Koçyiğit quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Ricardo Kakás short, quick shot in the 21stth minute got Recep Talha Uçhan to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Blue Mountain State's Yalçın Olgunay played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vecdet Koçyiğit in the 24th minute of play. When Özgür Göktürk fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ÇORUM SPOR KULÜBÜ's protests and gave Özgür Göktürk a yellow card for diving instead. 33 minutes into the game, Artun Şenyurt cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Recep Talha Uçhan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 35 played minutes Blue Mountain State got a freekick which was hit by Nuralp Şahinkan. When Vecdet Koçyiğit came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the ÇORUM SPOR KULÜBÜ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vecdet Koçyiğit couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Özgür Göktürk in the 40th minute of play forced Blue Mountain State's goalkeeper Yalçın Olgunay to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. During the 41st minute of the match Özgür Göktürk completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Özgür Göktürk a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Yalçın Olgunay took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vecdet Koçyiğit, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ricardo Kaká stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Vecdet Koçyiğit's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Yalçın Olgunay firmly grabbed it by the left post. 62 minutes into the match, Vecdet Koçyiğit notched a goal, 2-3, to the right of Blue Mountain State's Yalçın Olgunay. Yalçın Olgunay was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Artun Şenyurt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Recep Talha Uçhan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 67 minutes into the game, Recai Özbal was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. ÇORUM SPOR KULÜBÜ's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Blue Mountain State the free kick. A collision led to ÇORUM SPOR KULÜBÜ getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Recai Özbal hit a great ball. Recep Talha Uçhan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ricardo Kaká in the 77th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bülent Ekin during the 85th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Blue Mountain State's Bülent Ekin got a free kick in the 85th minute. Recai Özbal got his second yellow card in the match during the 86th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Recai Özbal hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Fikri Kutsalmis hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. ÇORUM SPOR KULÜBÜ succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Blue Mountain State had controlled the match.
