With a little luck, Arrows Academy FC's Rex Marler got control of the ball when Danny Avery tried to sneak it across the goal line. Dane White stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Simon Roche's shot from short distance in the 12th minute. Kelvin Quinn was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 19th minute. Henley on Thames United's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Henley on Thames United's Dane White played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Camron Bullard in the 21st minute of play. Rex Marler made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Danny Avery in the 23rd minute of play. If Simon Roche had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Johnny Haxby during the 38th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Dylon Rundle could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Rex Marler made a huge save. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kelvin Quinn stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Rex Marler made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kelvin Quinn in the 51st minute of play. 52 minutes into the match, Arrows Academy FC's goal looked a bit too open when Danny Avery came free, but Rex Marler reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 55th minute Dylon Rundle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rex Marler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Orson Cambridge during the 56th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
