Spectators: 205 (Terracing: 154, Seating: 47, VIP seats: 4) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Ronnie Howard made the kick off which started today's match. Dennis Chegwyn charged in rather forcefully in the 6th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dennis Chegwyn the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 6th match minute, Manchester United F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dennis Chegwyn to maneuver through the defense. After 8 played minutes Manchester United F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Dennis Chegwyn. In the 9th minute of the match Chip Preece sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Martyn Patten skillfully saved the ball. Patrick Hargreaves kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Clapham Comets F.C.'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Chip Preece in the 13th minute. Sebastian Cross didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ronnie Howard went, in the 19th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Barney Bzeu hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. The supporters of Clapham Comets F.C. booed when Manchester United F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tim Butt didn't get a good kick on the ball. CJ Trusswell came free with the goalkeeper in the 27th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Martyn Patten could save by the left post. In the 28th minute of the match Clapham Comets F.C. got a corner. Manchester United F.C.'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Chip Preece ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Chip Preece got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Martyn Patten quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronnie Howard in the 29th minute of play forced Clapham Comets F.C.'s goalkeeper Sebastian Cross to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Martyn Patten was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Chip Preece showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 31 minute of play. Tim Butt kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Chip Preece recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ronnie Howard during the 41st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ronnie Howard hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Frank Fowler received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Martyn Patten tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 45 minutes into the match, CJ Trusswell notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Manchester United F.C.'s Martyn Patten. Martyn Patten was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Chip Preece to strike the kick off in the second half. Martyn Patten showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chip Preece, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Martyn Patten made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from CJ Trusswell in the 56th minute of play. Clapham Comets F.C.'s Calvin Bourton got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Martyn Patten made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chip Preece in the 60th minute of play. Clapham Comets F.C.'s CJ Trusswell pulled a muscle in his back after 67 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Stu Izzard charged in rather forcefully in the 67th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. After 68 played minutes Manchester United F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Stu Izzard. Chip Preece sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 74th match minute, Clapham Comets F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Calvin Bourton to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Manchester United F.C. defense, Frank Fowler kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Martyn Patten. The Manchester United F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Martyn Patten should have stopped the shot. Sebastian Cross showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Steve Pennant, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. For all the effort they put into the match, the Manchester United F.C. players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Clapham Comets F.C..
