Ian Browne made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Vic Bayne was extremely unlucky when he, in the 9th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. With a little luck, The Handsome Wizards UTD's Glyn Beesley got control of the ball when Samuel Foley tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 18 played minutes The Handsome Wizards UTD got a freekick which was hit by Nathanial Weeks. Joseph Allwright received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Glyn Beesley tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Quentin Newlyn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Gone With the Win booed when The Handsome Wizards UTD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Connor Bridge didn't get a good kick on the ball. Samuel Foley struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Glyn Beesley didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gone With the Win. 32 minutes into the game, Mike Sugden was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. The Handsome Wizards UTD's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gone With the Win the free kick. The supporters of Gone With the Win booed when The Handsome Wizards UTD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mike Sugden didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Paul Rogozinskiy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee felt a red card was in order, 37 minutes into the game, when Orson Slator put in a rough tackle. After 37 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for The Handsome Wizards UTD! When the match had been going on for 40 minutes, Gone With the Win's Joseph Allwright got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Glyn Beesley. In the 46th minute, Gone With the Win's Vic Bayne ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Glyn Beesley. Glyn Beesley yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mike Sugden was the one to do the kick off. Glyn Beesley made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ash Cook in the 57th minute of play. Vic Bayne kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. In the 69th match minute, Gone With the Win was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paul Rogozinskiy to maneuver through the defense. Ian Browne made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mike Sugden in the 70th minute. Lewis Piercy charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lewis Piercy the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The crowd rose to their feet as The Handsome Wizards UTD's Mike Sugden slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ian Browne. That made the score 4-2 after 76 minutes of play. Owen Haigh struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Ian Browne didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for The Handsome Wizards UTD. After 92 played minutes The Handsome Wizards UTD got a freekick which was hit by Nathanial Weeks. Gone With the Win were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest.
