The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 3 played minutes Astreix&ObelixSoccer got a freekick which was hit by Luke Jones. Geoff Howarth struck a weak shot in the 4th minute. Marek Hewitt didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Barr Point. The audience thought a goal was coming when Romeo Cartwright got free with Sacha Lane in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Marek Hewitt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kristopher Sharpe, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. In the 14th match minute, Astreix&ObelixSoccer was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luke Jones to maneuver through the defense. Marek Hewitt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lee Cook in the 16th minute of play. Dean Clay struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Sacha Lane didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Astreix&ObelixSoccer. Jay Willmott charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jay Willmott the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Jay Willmott kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Astreix&ObelixSoccer's Phil Dove slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Sacha Lane. That made the score 1-0 after 25 minutes of play. Barr Point's Sacha Lane proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Barr Point from getting a goal against them. Barr Point's Kristopher Sharpe got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Kristopher Sharpe struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Marek Hewitt didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Barr Point. Astreix&ObelixSoccer's Phil Dove shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 47th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Sacha Lane but with some difficulty.

The wind increased when Lee Cook made the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Astreix&ObelixSoccer's Marek Hewitt got control of the ball when Geoff Howarth tried to sneak it across the goal line. Sacha Lane showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Phil Dove, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Sacha Lane made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dean Clay in the 61st minute of play. Carl Browne received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Marek Hewitt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Kristopher Sharpe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dean Clay in the 71st minute of play forced Barr Point's goalkeeper Sacha Lane to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 87th minute, Lee Cook reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Marek Hewitt. The goal made the score 1-1. Kristopher Sharpe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Marek Hewitt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Barr Point players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Astreix&ObelixSoccer from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
