MELATES F.C.'s Adamantios Kokolakis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Evaggelos Saridakis in the 7th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Konstantinos Kominis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Adamantios Kokolakis was relentless in the 8th minute of the game. Adamantios Kokolakis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Evaggelos Saridakis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 27 minutes, Valerios Mitras mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Panionios MK and the MELATES F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. Valerios Mitras kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. After 29 minutes, Vassilis Grigorakos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Panionios MK and the MELATES F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. Prokopis Grigoriou made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Stratos Moularas sent off a good shot on target. When Eutichios Ritsos fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Panionios MK's protests and gave Eutichios Ritsos a yellow card for diving instead. After 37 played minutes Panionios MK got a freekick which was hit by Eutichios Ritsos. In the 39th minute, Evaggelos Saridakis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Adamantios Kokolakis was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Konstantinos Kominis scored 0-2 in the 45th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Adamantios Kokolakis, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.

The wind increased when Stratos Moularas made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Evaggelos Saridakis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adamantios Kokolakis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Adamantios Kokolakis made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Evaggelos Saridakis sent off a good shot on target. If Konstantinos Kominis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 1-2 became the score in the 61st minute when Chrisostomos Patakos elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After having played for 64 minutes, Evaggelos Saridakis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Panionios MK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Evaggelos Saridakis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Adamantios Kokolakis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Konstantinos Kominis, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Konstantinos Kominis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Adamantios Kokolakis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kleanthis Sapounelis during the 72nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 72nd minute of the game. One of MELATES F.C.:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Panionios MK:s goal. The referee gave Panionios MK a penalty, 73 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Evaggelos Saridakis, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of MELATES F.C.'s Adamantios Kokolakis. 1-4. Antonis Froussos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Evaggelos Saridakis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Konstantinos Kominis did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-5 to the left of a surprised Adamantios Kokolakis 94 minutes into the match. After 97 played minutes MELATES F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Stratos Moularas. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Panionios MK walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
