Nikos Kosmidis took the ball and in the 8 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Viktoras Samios. Viktoras Samios dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Kolopetinitsa's Viktoras Samios played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kostas Manouselis in the 10th minute of play. In the 11th minute of the match AC Milan got a corner. Kolopetinitsa's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Pavlos Papazacharias ran over to the corner to take the kick. Nikos Kosmidis's late challenge caught a Kolopetinitsa's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nikos Kosmidis helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to AC Milan getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Nikos Kosmidis hit a great ball. Aris Kortzidis took the ball and in the 18 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Viktoras Samios. Viktoras Samios dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Orestis Vasilakopoulos scored 2-2 in the 22nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fotis Tatsis, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 24 minutes into the match, Lambros Karpodinis notched a goal, 3-2, to the right of AC Milan's Fotis Tatsis. Fotis Tatsis was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Viktoras Samios didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nikos Kosmidis went, in the 32nd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-3 was the resulting score. The audience was convinced that Timos Vlontakis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Viktoras Samios was relentless in the 35th minute of the game. 44 minutes into the match, Eleftherios Kanatakis notched a goal, 3-5, to the right of Kolopetinitsa's Viktoras Samios. Viktoras Samios was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 3-5.

When Lambros Karpodinis came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Kolopetinitsa fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lambros Karpodinis couldn't finish the play. In the 58th minute, Orestis Vasilakopoulos ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fotis Tatsis was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-5. 68 minutes into the match, Kolopetinitsa's goalkeeper Viktoras Samios had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nikos Kosmidis. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nikos Kosmidis in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Viktoras Samios saved Kolopetinitsa from getting behind. In the 70th match minute, Kolopetinitsa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alkis Athanasiou to maneuver through the defense. Fotis Tatsis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Orestis Vasilakopoulos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Panos Zervidis hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in AC Milan's zone, Lambros Karpodinis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fotis Tatsis came out of the goal and Lambros Karpodinis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the AC Milan defense, Lambros Karpodinis kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fotis Tatsis. The AC Milan fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fotis Tatsis should have stopped the shot. After 86 played minutes AC Milan got a freekick which was hit by Fanis Panousis. Konstantinos Kazantzis charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Konstantinos Kazantzis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of AC Milan booed when Kolopetinitsa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Konstantinos Kazantzis didn't get a good kick on the ball. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
