In the 6th minute Sakis Kefalas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fanis Sigalas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sofoklis Stathatos charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sofoklis Stathatos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 9th minute, Sofoklis Stathatos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sotiris Chatzidimitriou hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Ignatios Brilakis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Spyros Skafidas was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. Sakis Kefalas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fanis Sigalas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marios Iatridis during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 17th minute, Marios Iatridis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 21 minutes into the game, Iordanis Drambas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. ΟΦΗ's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Green Hell F.C. the free kick. A collision led to ΟΦΗ getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Iordanis Drambas hit a great ball. Panagiotis Santis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Green Hell F.C.'s defense didn't have a chance, in the 26th minute, when Ignatios Brilakis scored to the left of an out of position Spyros Skafidas, making the score, 1-0. When Giorgos Katzelis fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ΟΦΗ's protests and gave Giorgos Katzelis a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to ΟΦΗ getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Giorgos Katzelis hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vassilis Ballas during the 44th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 44th minute, Vassilis Ballas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 46 minutes into the match, Green Hell F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Ignatios Brilakis came free, but Spyros Skafidas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sakis Kefalas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute Ignatios Brilakis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Spyros Skafidas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Spyros Skafidas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ignatios Brilakis's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. After a rather tough play, ΟΦΗ's Giorgos Katzelis got a free kick in the 61st minute. If Giorgos Katzelis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Makis Argyrakis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Spyros Skafidas having to interfere. Makis Argyrakis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Ignatios Brilakis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When ΟΦΗ's Ignatios Brilakis in the 73rd minute got a chance for a shot 73rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Green Hell F.C.'s goalie prevented a goal. After 75 minutes of play, ΟΦΗ's Makis Argyrakis made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Spyros Skafidas was left in no man's land by his defense there! 81 minutes into the match, Sakis Kefalas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fanis Sigalas. ΟΦΗ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sakis Kefalas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Green Hell F.C.'s Koulis Vourlis shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 84th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Fanis Sigalas but with some difficulty. A collision led to ΟΦΗ getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Ignatios Brilakis hit a great ball. ΟΦΗ walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
