The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Green Horses's Ignatios Pitsipopakis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save Green Horses from getting a goal against them. Makis Argyrakis made a great header on ΟΦΗ's corner, it was just that Green Horses's Ignatios Pitsipopakis managed to reach the ball for a save. After a defensive mix-up in Green Horses's zone, Makis Argyrakis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ignatios Pitsipopakis was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ignatios Pitsipopakis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Makis Argyrakis in the 41st minute. 43 minutes into the match, Green Horses's goal looked a bit too open when Giorgos Katzelis came free, but Ignatios Pitsipopakis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

Ignatios Pitsipopakis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Giorgos Katzelis in the 55th minute of the match. Ignatios Pitsipopakis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Giorgos Katzelis in the 63rd minute of play. ΟΦΗ's Fanis Sigalas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christodoulos Symeonas in the 69th minute of play. ΟΦΗ's Fanis Sigalas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save ΟΦΗ from getting a goal against them. Ignatios Pitsipopakis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Makis Argyrakis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Giorgos Katzelis managed to get in a good position for a shot. ΟΦΗ's supporters rose to their feet, but Giorgos Katzelis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ignatios Pitsipopakis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ignatios Pitsipopakis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Makis Argyrakis, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Fanis Sigalas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Periklis Zorbadelos in the 87th minute.
