After 10th play minutes Dimitris Lazarakos shot 1-0, a short shot which went by Alkis Kalaboukas and just under the crossbar into goal. The supporters of GREEK ARMY booed when AFC Ajax was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Koulis Kostaras didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 17th minute, Stratos Alexatos left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The GREEK ARMY fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Evaggelos Chatzipanagis in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alkis Kalaboukas saved GREEK ARMY from getting behind. The throw-in from Koulis Kostaras in the 35th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by GREEK ARMY's Ilias Soulios. The audience thought a goal was coming when Evaggelos Chatzipanagis got free with Alkis Kalaboukas in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When AFC Ajax's Evaggelos Chatzipanagis in the 40th minute got a chance for a shot 40th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye GREEK ARMY's goalie prevented a goal. After 43 played minutes GREEK ARMY got a freekick which was hit by Ilias Soulios. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Stratos Alexatos was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Panagiotis Charalambakos in the 52nd minute of play forced GREEK ARMY's goalkeeper Alkis Kalaboukas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A hard shot by Nikos Lazaridis from long distance, 61 minutes into the match, got Menios Moschogiannis's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. When AFC Ajax's Evaggelos Chatzipanagis in the 63rd minute got a chance for a shot 63rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After a rather tough play, GREEK ARMY's Ilias Soulios got a free kick in the 76th minute. Evaggelos Chatzipanagis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Alkis Kalaboukas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 80 played minutes GREEK ARMY got a freekick which was hit by Stratos Alexatos. 81 minutes into the game, AFC Ajax's Evaggelos Chatzipanagis nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alkis Kalaboukas made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. If Dimitris Lazarakos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Evaggelos Chatzipanagis in the 86th managed to get into a good position.
