If Aggelos Fytanidis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Alkis Kalaboukas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manos Taganikas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kyriakos Patemtzis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 9thth minute of the game Giannis Psaridis who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but GREEK ARMY's Alkis Kalaboukas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 19th match minute, GREEK ARMY was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Akis Kousas to maneuver through the defense. In the 28thth minute of the game Tasos Bakasetas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Saronida FC's Lazaros Theofilakos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Giannis Psaridis took the ball and in the 29 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alkis Kalaboukas. Alkis Kalaboukas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. The supporters of Saronida FC booed when GREEK ARMY was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tasos Bakasetas didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Saronida FC fans' excitement grew in the 33rd match minute when Saronida FC's Giannis Psaridis looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manos Taganikas in the 46th minute of play forced GREEK ARMY's goalkeeper Alkis Kalaboukas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Akis Kousas's late challenge caught a Saronida FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Akis Kousas helped the player get up and apologised. After 48 played minutes GREEK ARMY got a freekick which was hit by Akis Kousas. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Giannis Psaridis made a kick off. The supporters of GREEK ARMY booed when Saronida FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vassilis Nikolaidis didn't get a good kick on the ball. A hard shot 59 in the game by Giannis Psaridis from a close distance when the talented Alkis Kalaboukas managed to make a qualified save. GREEK ARMY's players were relieved. In the 59th minute, Fotis Bagasakis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 2-2 became the score in the 69th minute when Tasos Bakasetas elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Alkis Kalaboukas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Giannis Psaridis in the 74th minute of play. Kyriakos Patemtzis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Alkis Kalaboukas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alkis Kalaboukas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Manos Taganikas's shot from short distance in the 92nd minute. 95 minutes into the game, Saronida FC's Manos Taganikas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alkis Kalaboukas made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-4.
