After 27 played minutes GREEK ARMY got a freekick which was hit by Iraklis Seretis. 33 minutes into the match, GREEK ARMY's goal looked a bit too open when Evaggelos Chatzipanagis came free, but Alkis Kalaboukas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Evaggelos Chatzipanagis scored 0-1 in the 36th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alkis Kalaboukas, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Alkis Kalaboukas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Evaggelos Chatzipanagis's shot from short distance in the 41st minute. Iraklis Seretis hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Panos Athanasiadis stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. AFC Ajax's Dimitris Lazarakos got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dimitris Lazarakos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Alkis Kalaboukas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Dimitris Lazarakos kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Alkis Kalaboukas. That made the score 0-3 in the 58 minute of play. After 61 played minutes GREEK ARMY got a freekick which was hit by Thodoris Borbokis. With a little luck, GREEK ARMY's Alkis Kalaboukas got control of the ball when Dimitris Lazarakos tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 64th match minute, GREEK ARMY was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Panos Athanasiadis to maneuver through the defense. Evaggelos Chatzipanagis in the 65thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Alkis Kalaboukas, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Dimitris Lazarakos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. AFC Ajax's supporters rose to their feet, but Dimitris Lazarakos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alkis Kalaboukas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of AFC Ajax booed when GREEK ARMY was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Thodoris Borbokis didn't get a good kick on the ball. A hard shot 83 in the game by Evaggelos Chatzipanagis from a close distance when the talented Alkis Kalaboukas managed to make a qualified save. GREEK ARMY's players were relieved. Alkis Kalaboukas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Evaggelos Chatzipanagis's shot from short distance in the 86th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Evaggelos Chatzipanagis in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alkis Kalaboukas saved GREEK ARMY from getting behind. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. AFC Ajax had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
