Brian Hülsen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benjamin Trame in the 2nd minute of the match. When Holger Damm fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Unterrudling's protests and gave Holger Damm a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to FC Unterrudling getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Holger Damm hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in FC Hollywood's zone, Manuel Kubisch stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Brian Hülsen came out of the goal and Manuel Kubisch tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Mattias Stromann managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Hollywood's supporters rose to their feet, but Mattias Stromann was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Steffen Heeling breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Simon Diekelmann charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Simon Diekelmann the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, FC Unterrudling's Simon Diekelmann got a free kick in the 13th minute. FC Hollywood's defense didn't have a chance, in the 18th minute, when Manuel Kubisch scored to the left of an out of position Brian Hülsen, making the score, 1-0. Steffen Heeling didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kilian Bakker went, in the 21st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. FC Hollywood's Brian Hülsen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manuel Kubisch in the 40th minute of play. 44 minutes into the match, FC Hollywood's goal looked a bit too open when Simon Diekelmann came free, but Brian Hülsen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Steffen Heeling took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Michael Hoffmann, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Benjamin Trame to make the kick off. In the 53rd match minute, FC Unterrudling was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Matthias Heimeier to maneuver through the defense. In the 54th minute, Florian Klauck sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and FC Unterrudling's Steffen Heeling didn't even have to move. In the 55th minute Kilian Bakker shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Steffen Heeling saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Michael Hoffmann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Steffen Heeling having to interfere. In the 61st minute, Matthias Heimeier hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Falko Weiß during the 65th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Helmut Brabec the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of FC Unterrudling protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Helmut Brabec had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 93 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for FC Unterrudling!
