Toshko Topalski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bratan Vladikov in the 7th minute of play. Kuzman Nedelkov's late challenge caught a Botev Plovdiv 1912's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kuzman Nedelkov helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to ЦСКА getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Kuzman Nedelkov hit a great ball. During the 9th minute of the match Kuzman Nedelkov completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Kuzman Nedelkov a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 10th match minute, ЦСКА was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kuzman Nedelkov to maneuver through the defense. Toshko Topalski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valko Mitin in the 14th minute of the match. After 14 played minutes ЦСКА got a freekick which was hit by Rostislav Múnkov. After having played for 15 minutes, Bratan Vladikov managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Botev Plovdiv 1912's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bratan Vladikov was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tzvetomir Haladzhov kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Emanuil Gurkov recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of ЦСКА booed when Botev Plovdiv 1912 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Darin Ermenkov didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Denimir Bidzhev fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ЦСКА's protests and gave Denimir Bidzhev a yellow card for diving instead. Denimir Bidzhev hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Emanuil Gurkov managed to get in a good position for a shot. Botev Plovdiv 1912's supporters rose to their feet, but Emanuil Gurkov was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Toshko Topalski breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 36th minute, Yakim Kunchev hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Toshko Topalski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bratan Vladikov in the 40th minute of the match. Bilyan Sapunarov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Toshko Topalski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tzvetomir Haladzhov to make the kick off. If Bilyan Sapunarov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Denimir Bidzhev got his second yellow card in the match during the 55th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. A collision led to ЦСКА getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Denimir Bidzhev hit a great ball. The supporters of Botev Plovdiv 1912 booed when ЦСКА was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tzvetomir Haladzhov didn't get a good kick on the ball. 60 minutes into the match, ЦСКА's goalkeeper Toshko Topalski had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bilyan Sapunarov. After 64 played minutes Botev Plovdiv 1912 got a freekick which was hit by Bratan Vladikov. Toshko Topalski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Doychin Penelov in the 66th minute of play. Bratan Vladikov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Botev Plovdiv 1912 getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Darin Ermenkov hit a great ball. 82 minutes into the game, Botev Plovdiv 1912's Emanuil Gurkov nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Toshko Topalski made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. The supporters of Botev Plovdiv 1912 booed when ЦСКА was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Veliko Mishonov didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 96th minute, one of ЦСКА:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for ЦСКА. ЦСКА:s Toshko Topalski showed great skill when he stopped Emanuil Gurkov:s penalty. Botev Plovdiv 1912's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
