Spectators: 175 (Terracing: 132, Seating: 40, VIP seats: 3) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Aadolf Martikainen started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd play minute Tauno Kivimäki came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Samuel Pihkala. 1-0. In the 6th minute, Kaarle Väätäinen fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tauno Kivimäki got free with Samuel Pihkala in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Savon Palloseura getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Juha-Pekka Joenväärä hit a great ball. If Turo Raninen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Samuel Pihkala showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Viljami Rajamäki, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Karhulan Veikot's Samuel Pihkala played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Viljami Rajamäki in the 19th minute of play. 21 minutes into the match, Karhulan Veikot's goal looked a bit too open when Kaarle Väätäinen came free, but Samuel Pihkala reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 29 minutes into the game, Kaarle Väätäinen was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Savon Palloseura's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Karhulan Veikot the free kick. After some careless play in the Karhulan Veikot defense, Viljami Rajamäki kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Samuel Pihkala. The Karhulan Veikot fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Samuel Pihkala should have stopped the shot. Yrjänä Vihtilä kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. With a little luck, Karhulan Veikot's Samuel Pihkala got control of the ball when Jan Kuokkanen tried to sneak it across the goal line. Samuel Pihkala took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Viljami Rajamäki, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 46th minute, Turo Raninen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Samuel Pihkala came out of the goal in the 48th minute to try and stop a shot by Savon Palloseura's Tauno Kivimäki. But to his dismay, Tauno Kivimäki quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kaarle Väätäinen stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Jan Kuokkanen's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Samuel Pihkala was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kaarle Väätäinen in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Samuel Pihkala prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Kaarle Väätäinen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Samuel Pihkala having to interfere. In the 62nd minute, Yrjänä Vihtilä hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Tauno Kivimäki managed to get in a good position for a shot. Savon Palloseura's supporters rose to their feet, but Tauno Kivimäki was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Samuel Pihkala breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Savon Palloseura's Kaarle Väätäinen got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Karhulan Veikot's Edvard Karjala got a free kick in the 69th minute. Tauno Kivimäki sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 72nd minute, Jan Kuokkanen ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Samuel Pihkala was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. After a rather tough play, Karhulan Veikot's Turo Raninen got a free kick in the 79th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Heikki Niinimaa during the 85th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Savon Palloseura getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Heikki Niinimaa hit a great ball. In the 91st minute Jan Kuokkanen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Samuel Pihkala saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edvard Karjala kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. After having played for 95 minutes, Jan Kuokkanen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Savon Palloseura's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jan Kuokkanen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
