Spectators: 175 (Terracing: 132, Seating: 40, VIP seats: 3) Ilmo Kaven started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After 3 played minutes Kultapossukerho got a freekick which was hit by Jyrki Sulku. Kultapossukerho's Isto Wallden played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iikka Haapaniemi in the 6th minute of play. After 7 played minutes Liverpool FC got a freekick which was hit by Iikka Haapaniemi. Isto Wallden made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tuukka Liimatainen in the 8th minute. Pentti Luhtio took the ball and in the 10 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Isto Wallden. Isto Wallden dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Tuukka Liimatainen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ilmo Kaven was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 25th minute. Liverpool FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. The supporters of Kultapossukerho booed when Liverpool FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elmer Harjanne didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 31st minute, Jesse Hannus got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Liverpool FC were awarded a corner in the 36th minute after Kultapossukerho's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Tahvo Seppä took the corner. In the 39th minute, Ilmo Kaven left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Liverpool FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Kultapossukerho's Isto Wallden proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save Kultapossukerho from getting a goal against them. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

A collision led to Kultapossukerho getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Veli Palsola hit a great ball. 55 minutes into the game, Liverpool FC's Tuukka Liimatainen nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Isto Wallden made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Isto Wallden showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iikka Haapaniemi in the 60th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Reino Leonoff in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tomi Pihlman saved Liverpool FC from getting behind. When Liverpool FC's Tuukka Liimatainen in the 64th minute got a chance for a shot 64th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Kultapossukerho's goalie prevented a goal. In the 67th minute, Valto Hevonkorpi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Isto Wallden showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tahvo Seppä, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Veli Palsola's late challenge caught a Liverpool FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Liverpool FC's Tuukka Liimatainen got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Isto Wallden showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pentti Luhtio in the 74th minute of the match. 77 minutes into the game, Iikka Haapaniemi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Isto Wallden was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Iikka Haapaniemi struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Isto Wallden didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Liverpool FC. Isto Wallden made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ilmo Kaven in the 87th minute of play. Isto Wallden showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iikka Haapaniemi, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Liverpool FC were awarded a corner in the 90th minute after Kultapossukerho's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Tahvo Seppä took the corner. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Iikka Haapaniemi in the 92nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Isto Wallden prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the referee ended the match the Liverpool FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
