When the match had gone on for 5 minutes, Ville Kaukomaa took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Isto Wallden to make any attempt to save it. 7 minutes into the game, Daavid Venäläinen was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kultapossukerho's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Jones the free kick. A collision led to Kultapossukerho getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Daavid Venäläinen hit a great ball. Juhana Malmivaara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Isto Wallden having to interfere. The attack was good, but when Daavid Venäläinen in the 11th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Manne Vapaniemi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Daavid Venäläinen went, in the 17th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Veli Palsola hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Keimo Kampman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 43 minutes into the game, Daavid Venäläinen cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Manne Vapaniemi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ville Kaukomaa to make the kick off. Isto Wallden showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kustavi Myötänen in the 52nd minute of the match. Olavi Nummelin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Isto Wallden tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jarno Raninen got free with Manne Vapaniemi in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 61 minutes into the game, Kustavi Myötänen cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-3. Isto Wallden was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. FC Jones's Hannu Louke was substituted for Eevert Kahra. When the match had gone on for 68 minutes, Kustavi Myötänen put it in 3-3 from a short distance just to the right of Isto Wallden. Jarno Raninen blasted a shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Manne Vapaniemi having to make a save. The supporters of FC Jones booed when Kultapossukerho was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valto Hevonkorpi didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 98thth minute of the game Ville Kaukomaa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kultapossukerho's Isto Wallden was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The FC Jones supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Kultapossukerho's performance. The match ended with a win for Kultapossukerho.
