In the 2nd minute Reima Ruuttu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Niilo Myötänen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Toivo Karhu fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Savon Palloseura's protests and gave Toivo Karhu a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Manchester United FC booed when Savon Palloseura was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Toivo Karhu didn't get a good kick on the ball. 4 minutes into the game, Ilari Eskelinen was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Savon Palloseura's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Manchester United FC the free kick. Ilari Eskelinen kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Teppo Helminen during the 7th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Manchester United FC made a substitution. Eemil Pynnönen replaced Teppo Helminen. 12 minutes into the match, Savon Palloseura's goal looked a bit too open when Vihtori Viljanen came free, but Niilo Myötänen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Saul Väänänen didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 16th minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. In the 22nd match minute, Savon Palloseura was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kaarle Väätäinen to maneuver through the defense. Olli-Pekka Bruun didn't get a good kick on the ball. Niilo Myötänen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Reima Ruuttu in the 34th minute of the match. Saul Väänänen came out of the goal and Otso Ranne tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sami Nutikka was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 45 minutes into the match. The supporters of Manchester United FC booed when Savon Palloseura was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sami Nutikka didn't get a good kick on the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Reima Ruuttu struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Niilo Myötänen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Manchester United FC. Valio Sammalkangas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Savon Palloseura's Niilo Myötänen got control of the ball when Valio Sammalkangas tried to sneak it across the goal line. 62 minutes into the match, Taavetti Valkealahti had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Niilo Myötänen. Savon Palloseura's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Taavetti Valkealahti was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. A sloppy throw-in by Heikki Vehanen in the 67th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Savon Palloseura's Olli-Pekka Bruun. After 68 minutes of play, Manchester United FC's Reima Ruuttu made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Niilo Myötänen was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience thought a goal was coming when Valio Sammalkangas got free with Niilo Myötänen in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 76 minutes into the match, Reima Ruuttu dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Niilo Myötänen, 1-3. If Taavetti Valkealahti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Saul Väänänen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Toivo Karhu in the 81st minute of the match. In the 82nd minute, Taavetti Valkealahti got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Taavetti Valkealahti sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 85 minutes into the match, Taavetti Valkealahti notched a goal, 1-4, to the right of Savon Palloseura's Niilo Myötänen. Niilo Myötänen was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 90 minutes into the game, Taavetti Valkealahti recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Niilo Myötänen. Taavetti Valkealahti showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-5. Vihtori Viljanen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Manchester United FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
