He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Pauli Kärkkäinen. Tony Saarela kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. The supporters of Karhulan Veikot booed when Porvoon Futura was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Touko Mikkonen didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Aadolf Martikainen came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Karhulan Veikot fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aadolf Martikainen couldn't finish the play. After 35 minutes, Paavo Lumijärvi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Porvoon Futura and the Karhulan Veikot players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 55th minute Aadolf Martikainen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pauli Kärkkäinen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 59th minute, Reijo Ilola got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Paavo Lumijärvi hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Pauli Kärkkäinen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aadolf Martikainen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eerik Vähä's late challenge caught a Karhulan Veikot's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eerik Vähä helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Porvoon Futura getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Eerik Vähä hit a great ball. In the 73rd minute there was a penalty for Karhulan Veikot. Reijo Ilola stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Pauli Kärkkäinen. 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aadolf Martikainen in the 76th minute of play forced Porvoon Futura's goalkeeper Pauli Kärkkäinen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pauli Kärkkäinen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aadolf Martikainen in the 78th minute of play. In the 89th minute, Reijo Ilola hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 95 minutes into the match, Karhulan Veikot's Aadolf Martikainen sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pauli Kärkkäinen narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
