Niclas Goch's late challenge caught a Ulfa FSV's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Niclas Goch helped the player get up and apologised. In the 9th match minute, SV Bad Harzburg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Niclas Goch to maneuver through the defense. Edgar Schweßinger showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Herwig Fehr in the 13th minute of the match. After 15 minutes Ulfa FSV's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Frido Sandkühler who took care of the corner kick. Frido Sandkühler made a great header on SV Bad Harzburg's corner, it was just that Ulfa FSV's Edgar Schweßinger managed to reach the ball for a save. Ellis Worm kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. When Thorsten Kristl came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the SV Bad Harzburg fans jumped to their feet. In the 41st minute, Sebastian Lamwersiek hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 43rd minute Freddy Zahnleiter shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edgar Schweßinger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sebastian Lamwersiek's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 44thth minute, Gerald Zapf skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 44th match minute, SV Bad Harzburg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emanuel Schrappe to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vito Degdau in the 47th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gerald Zapf prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Herwig Fehr to make the kick off. When Herwig Fehr came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the SV Bad Harzburg fans jumped to their feet. Edgar Schweßinger acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 54th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Emanuel Schrappe. Herwig Fehr scored 0-3 in the 59th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Edgar Schweßinger, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Ulfa FSV's zone, Thorsten Kristl stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edgar Schweßinger came out of the goal and Thorsten Kristl tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Edgar Schweßinger didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Thorsten Kristl went, in the 74th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. Edgar Schweßinger made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thorsten Kristl in the 82nd minute of play. Thorsten Kristl blasted a shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Edgar Schweßinger having to make a save. Thorsten Kristl received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Edgar Schweßinger tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 92nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Ulfa FSV's goalkeeper Edgar Schweßinger, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, SV Bad Harzburg's Gideon Weber got a free kick in the 95th minute.
