Spectators: 205 (Terracing: 154, Seating: 47, VIP seats: 4) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Kees Plappert started the match with the kick off. In the 4th match minute, TSV Delliehausen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adalbert Gniech to maneuver through the defense. In the 9th minute, Sydney FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Sven Berland fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. With a little luck, Sydney FC's Florian Guderian got control of the ball when Sven Berland tried to sneak it across the goal line. TSV Delliehausen were awarded a corner in the 12th minute after Sydney FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Dieter Kapelle took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Dieter Kapelle got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Florian Guderian quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After 17 played minutes Sydney FC got a freekick which was hit by Pierre Möhn. If Sven Berland had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a rather tough play, Sydney FC's Pierre Möhn got a free kick in the 19th minute. After 21 played minutes Sydney FC got a freekick which was hit by Gabriel Michel. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kees Plappert in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Yves Marquart prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Yves Marquart took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pierre Möhn, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Gabriel Michel fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sydney FC's protests and gave Gabriel Michel a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Sydney FC's Gabriel Michel got a free kick in the 28th minute. Sydney FC's Pierre Möhn got his second yellow card of the match in the 29th minute. The referee ordered Pierre Möhn off the ground. The supporters of TSV Delliehausen booed when Sydney FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pierre Möhn didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kees Plappert scored 0-1 in the 34th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Yves Marquart, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kees Plappert in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Yves Marquart saved TSV Delliehausen from getting behind. Yves Marquart showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kees Plappert in the 39th minute of the match. When the match clock showed 43 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Kees Plappert sped through TSV Delliehausen's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Yves Marquart. When Sydney FC's Kees Plappert in the 48th minute got a chance for a shot 48th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye TSV Delliehausen's goalie prevented a goal. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sven Berland was the one to do the kick off. Kees Plappert fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yves Marquart having to interfere. Florian Guderian didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dieter Kapelle went, in the 53rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Kees Plappert's late challenge caught a TSV Delliehausen's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kees Plappert helped the player get up and apologised. Yves Marquart made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kees Plappert in the 63rd minute. 72 minutes into the match, TSV Delliehausen's goal looked a bit too open when Kees Plappert came free, but Yves Marquart reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 74th minute of the match Sydney FC got a corner. TSV Delliehausen's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Nat Schmitt ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Nat Schmitt got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Yves Marquart quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Adalbert Gniech hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. In the 82nd match minute, Sydney FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Harald Inger to maneuver through the defense. Sydney FC's Florian Guderian played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dieter Kapelle in the 87th minute of play. In the 93rdth minute of the game Sven Berland who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sydney FC's Florian Guderian was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.
