Merten Schütz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manfred Klimke, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jerome Pflügge kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. In the 19th minute, Blau Weiß Sauerland's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Ken Saur fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 25th minute Abbo Ditsche shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Merten Schütz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Günther Josef in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jacob Kobel saved Spandauer Rain Kings from getting behind. The crowd rose to their feet as Spandauer Rain Kings's Manfred Klimke slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Merten Schütz. That made the score 1-0 after 30 minutes of play. 33 minutes into the game, Rainder Just was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Blau Weiß Sauerland's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Spandauer Rain Kings the free kick. After 33 played minutes Blau Weiß Sauerland got a freekick which was hit by Rainder Just. Heiko Schmeisser, 34 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. When the match had gone on for 36 minutes, Manfred Klimke took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Merten Schütz to make any attempt to save it. After 41 minutes, Günther Josef mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Blau Weiß Sauerland and the Spandauer Rain Kings players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Spandauer Rain Kings booed when Blau Weiß Sauerland was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Günther Josef didn't get a good kick on the ball. Spandauer Rain Kings's Jacob Kobel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andreas Beier in the 44th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

After 52 played minutes Blau Weiß Sauerland got a freekick which was hit by Rainder Just. After 55 played minutes Blau Weiß Sauerland got a freekick which was hit by Jerome Pflügge. 61 minutes into the match, Spandauer Rain Kings's Ken Saur sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Merten Schütz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 63rd minute Heiko Schmeisser shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Merten Schütz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rainder Just sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Spandauer Rain Kings's Karl Denz got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Andreas Beier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacob Kobel having to interfere. The supporters of Blau Weiß Sauerland booed when Spandauer Rain Kings was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jens Brendlin didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 78th minute, Günther Josef got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 91 minutes into the match, Blau Weiß Sauerland's goal looked a bit too open when Manfred Klimke came free, but Merten Schütz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Merten Schütz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manfred Klimke in the 92nd minute of play. In the 93rd match minute, Blau Weiß Sauerland was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andreas Beier to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Manfred Klimke managed to get in a good position for a shot. Spandauer Rain Kings's supporters rose to their feet, but Manfred Klimke was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Merten Schütz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Spandauer Rain Kings fans cheered their team off the field, for while Blau Weiß Sauerland had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
