Guntram Bereths started the match with the kick off. After 2 played minutes Alemannia Aachen got a freekick which was hit by Oliver Baß. Frederik Stecher sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ettore Winter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frederik Stecher in the 9th minute of play. The supporters of Friesenwerdermoor booed when Alemannia Aachen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Günter Gehling didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Friesenwerdermoor's Dirk Stumpe got a free kick in the 15th minute. Thomas Bressem hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. In the 28th minute, Thomas Bressem hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dirk Stumpe kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. In the 40th minute Holger Theilen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ettore Winter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alemannia Aachen's Pekko Badla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maximilian Göring in the 41st minute of play. In the 49th minute, Frederik Stecher got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Alemannia Aachen players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Friesenwerdermoor were winning 0-1.

Friesenwerdermoor's Ettore Winter played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frederik Stecher in the 54th minute of play. In the 55th minute Holger Theilen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ettore Winter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 59 minutes into the game, Felix Ruthmann recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Pekko Badla. Felix Ruthmann showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. Alemannia Aachen's Pekko Badla proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save Alemannia Aachen from getting a goal against them. After 63 played minutes Friesenwerdermoor got a freekick which was hit by Heinrich Rauchbach. When Theo Nadolski came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Alemannia Aachen fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Theo Nadolski couldn't finish the play. Ettore Winter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Holger Theilen in the 66th minute of play. After 68 played minutes Alemannia Aachen got a freekick which was hit by Holger Theilen. After having played for 73 minutes, Holger Theilen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Alemannia Aachen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Holger Theilen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 75 minutes into the match, Alemannia Aachen's goalkeeper Pekko Badla had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Maximilian Göring. Pekko Badla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kurt Hui, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Alemannia Aachen getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Oliver Baß hit a great ball. In the 82nd minute, Frederik Stecher made a precise shot to the right of Ettore Winter. Friesenwerdermoor's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. The supporters of Alemannia Aachen booed when Friesenwerdermoor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Heinrich Rauchbach didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Alemannia Aachen's Theo Nadolski tried to score from far away in the 93rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The supporters of Alemannia Aachen booed when Friesenwerdermoor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Flavio Agsten didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alemannia Aachen's Pekko Badla proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 98th minute of the match, managed to save Alemannia Aachen from getting a goal against them. The Friesenwerdermoor supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Friesenwerdermoor would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
