Olaf Lübke made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Woltering in the 4th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Vorwärts Lübeck's Alexander Schaf got a free kick in the 9th minute. Jochen Doll made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Reinhold Friedl sent off a good shot on target. After some careless play in the Vorwärts Lübeck defense, Mirco Maier kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jochen Doll. The Vorwärts Lübeck fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jochen Doll should have stopped the shot. In the 20th minute, Lukas Berens hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 21 minutes, Reinhold Friedl managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Otten's supporters crossed their fingers, but Reinhold Friedl was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience was convinced that David Woltering's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Olaf Lübke was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. 25 minutes into the match, Vorwärts Lübeck's Ferit Port sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Olaf Lübke narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of Vorwärts Lübeck booed when SC Otten was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Damir Preußner didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mel Ecker scored 3-0 in the 35th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jochen Doll, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some careless play in the Vorwärts Lübeck defense, Damir Preußner kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jochen Doll. The Vorwärts Lübeck fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jochen Doll should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Vorwärts Lübeck booed when SC Otten was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hellmut Klasen didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 47thth minute of the game Kartikeya von Gyldenfeldt who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Vorwärts Lübeck's Jochen Doll was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

The wind increased when Kartikeya von Gyldenfeldt made the kick off in the second half. Kartikeya von Gyldenfeldt struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Jochen Doll didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Otten. SC Otten's Frederik Vielmann was substituted for Mirco Maier. SC Otten's Ronnie Schilder was substituted for Mel Ecker. In the 58th match minute, Vorwärts Lübeck was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alexander Schaf to maneuver through the defense. In the 59th minute, Reinhold Friedl got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rudi Tenhagen hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Olaf Lübke made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Waldemar Scheuch in the 62nd minute of play. The supporters of SC Otten booed when Vorwärts Lübeck was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alexander Schaf didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 73rd play minutes Rudi Tenhagen shot 5-0, a short shot which went by Jochen Doll and just under the crossbar into goal. If Frederik Vielmann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jochen Doll showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frederik Vielmann in the 88th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rudi Tenhagen in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jochen Doll prevented the ball from getting in the gole. SC Otten's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
