With a couple of smart ball manuevers Barnabas Rogge in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nolan Bästlein saved Hamburg Fighters from getting behind. Gunther Daun hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Wulf-Dieter Schwarze's late challenge caught a Academica Pulheim's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Wulf-Dieter Schwarze helped the player get up and apologised. When the match clock showed 43 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Barnabas Rogge sped through Hamburg Fighters's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Nolan Bästlein. In the 47th match minute, Academica Pulheim was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gunther Daun to maneuver through the defense. After the first half Academica Pulheim were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Markus Paul Schürhoff to strike the kick off in the second half. Nolan Bästlein showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Barnabas Rogge in the 55th minute of the match. In the 58th minute, Karsten Oppmann ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nolan Bästlein was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Barnabas Rogge fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nolan Bästlein having to interfere. Academica Pulheim made a substitution. Kevin Meißel replaced Hadrian Greilinger. The audience thought a goal was coming when Karsten Oppmann got free with Nolan Bästlein in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 68th minute Barnabas Rogge shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nolan Bästlein saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Hamburg Fighters's Markus Paul Schürhoff got a free kick in the 69th minute. In the 72nd minute, Academica Pulheim's Gunther Daun dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-3. Nolan Bästlein made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gunther Daun in the 87th minute. After 88 played minutes Hamburg Fighters got a freekick which was hit by Gerard Kapteina. 91 minutes into the match, Hamburg Fighters's goal looked a bit too open when Barnabas Rogge came free, but Nolan Bästlein reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match was over Academica Pulheim could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Hamburg Fighters throughout the match.
