A hard shot 12 in the game by Basarab Arotăriței from a close distance when the talented Victor Ciociu managed to make a qualified save. Progresul Pitesti's players were relieved. Olimpiu Tapalagă could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Victor Ciociu made a huge save. Basarab Arotăriței who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 20thth minute tested the skills of Victor Ciociu when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 23rdth minute of the game Basarab Arotăriței who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Progresul Pitesti's Victor Ciociu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In a very dangerous position, a player in Progresul Pitesti fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 27th minute. Penalty! In the 28th minute there was a penalty for FC Berea. Olimpiu Tapalagă stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Victor Ciociu. 3-0. Berea Luca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victor Ciociu having to interfere. Progresul Pitesti's Victor Ciociu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Basarab Arotăriței in the 39th minute of play. A collision led to Progresul Pitesti getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. George Buteanu hit a great ball. In the 42ndth minute of the game Basarab Arotăriței who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Progresul Pitesti's Victor Ciociu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 43rd match minute, Progresul Pitesti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by George Buteanu to maneuver through the defense. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 5-0.

Progresul Pitesti's Victor Ciociu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Olimpiu Tapalagă in the 69th minute of play. 72 minutes into the game, FC Berea's Olimpiu Tapalagă nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Victor Ciociu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 8-0. Victor Ciociu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Basarab Arotăriței in the 75th minute of the match. In the 77th minute Olimpiu Tapalagă shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Victor Ciociu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 78th minute, Basarab Arotăriței made a precise shot to the right of Victor Ciociu. Progresul Pitesti's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 9-0. When Olimpiu Tapalagă came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the FC Berea fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Olimpiu Tapalagă couldn't finish the play. Progresul Pitesti's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Olimpiu Tapalagă was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 11-0. After 93 played minutes Progresul Pitesti got a freekick which was hit by Mădălin Petruescu. In the 94thth minute of the game Basarab Arotăriței who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Progresul Pitesti's Victor Ciociu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. George Buteanu got his second yellow card in the match during the 95th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. The supporters of FC Berea booed when Progresul Pitesti was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. George Buteanu didn't get a good kick on the ball.
