Nichifor Burnei struck a weak shot in the 3rd minute. Victor Ciociu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tractorul Satulung -MM-. Nichifor Burnei took the ball and in the 9 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Victor Ciociu. Victor Ciociu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After 13 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Progresul Pitesti! Nichifor Burnei walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. After 15 minutes, Maxim Mirciulescu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tractorul Satulung -MM- and the Progresul Pitesti players grew even worse after the yellow card. Victor Ciociu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Avram Bistreanu in the 18th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nichifor Burnei in the 21st minute of play forced Progresul Pitesti's goalkeeper Victor Ciociu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ilie Bran hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Victor Ciociu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nichifor Burnei went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Victor Ciociu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nichifor Burnei, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. After 37 played minutes Tractorul Satulung -MM- got a freekick which was hit by Avram Bistreanu. Matei Stelian's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 38thth minute, Nechifor Gheție skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 40 minutes into the game, Progresul Pitesti's Matei Stelian nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nechifor Gheție made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. 46 minutes into the match, Avram Bistreanu notched a goal, 1-4, to the right of Progresul Pitesti's Victor Ciociu. Victor Ciociu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Disappointed in the 1-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nichifor Burnei made a kick off. Ilie Bran charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ilie Bran the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ilie Bran hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. After 55 played minutes Progresul Pitesti got a freekick which was hit by Mihăiţă Şchiopu. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Răzvan Receanu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Progresul Pitesti's supporters rose to their feet, but Răzvan Receanu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nechifor Gheție breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Iustin Cozac during the 65th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Tractorul Satulung -MM-'s Iustin Cozac got a free kick in the 65th minute. In the 66th minute, Ion Ţeica got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Vali Boeru had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 71st match minute, Progresul Pitesti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Matei Stelian to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 72 minutes, Avram Bistreanu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tractorul Satulung -MM-'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Avram Bistreanu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A sloppy throw-in by Aron Butnaru in the 74th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Progresul Pitesti's Filip Topală. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matei Stelian in the 77th minute of play forced Tractorul Satulung -MM-'s goalkeeper Nechifor Gheție to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Filip Topală kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. After 88 minutes, Avram Bistreanu made it 1-5 with a short kick to the right side. Progresul Pitesti's Victor Ciociu tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Nichifor Burnei could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Victor Ciociu made a huge save. The Progresul Pitesti supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Tractorul Satulung -MM-'s performance. The match ended with a win for Tractorul Satulung -MM-.
