Florin Suşu came out of the goal and Irinel Grozăvescu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vali Zoreanu's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Florin Suşu firmly grabbed it by the left post. After 16 played minutes YR☆ Rossoneri™ got a freekick which was hit by Sergiu Oardă. The crowd rose to their feet as Moise Pârvulescu kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Florin Suşu. That made the score 1-0 in the 21 minute of play. Mihăiţă Voina received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Ştefan Gârniceanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of FC Lutanu booed when YR☆ Rossoneri™ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mihăiţă Voina didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to YR☆ Rossoneri™ getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Constantin Maniu hit a great ball. Vali Zoreanu might have been able to make a better finish in the 35th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Florin Suşu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Vali Zoreanu ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vali Zoreanu got free with Florin Suşu in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 45 minutes, Vali Zoreanu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Lutanu's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vali Zoreanu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Moise Pârvulescu came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the FC Lutanu fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Moise Pârvulescu couldn't finish the play. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Vali Zoreanu made the kick off in the second half. After 52 played minutes FC Lutanu got a freekick which was hit by Fabian Geambașu. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marian Drogoreanu got free with Ştefan Gârniceanu in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 55th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Lutanu's goalkeeper Ştefan Gârniceanu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 63 minutes, Olimpiu Petrean mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the YR☆ Rossoneri™ and the FC Lutanu players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 65th minute Irinel Grozăvescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Florin Suşu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Vali Zoreanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Marian Drogoreanu, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 68 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Ştefan Gârniceanu was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Vali Zoreanu's late challenge caught a YR☆ Rossoneri™'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vali Zoreanu helped the player get up and apologised. Vali Zoreanu hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Irinel Grozăvescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Irinel Grozăvescu scored 2-0 in the 80th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Florin Suşu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Vali Zoreanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Florin Suşu having to interfere. A collision led to FC Lutanu getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Gică Hănescu hit a great ball. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. FC Lutanu had played much better football throughout.
