Mihnea Petruescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Călin Boteanu having to interfere. After 4 minutes, Emanuel Ardeleanu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the DINAMO and the FC Izesti players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 5th minute, Emanuel Ardeleanu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Robert Popic fell near the penalty area in the 8th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Izesti's protests and gave Robert Popic a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to FC Izesti getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Robert Popic hit a great ball. Denis Miulescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adam Rednic in the 10th minute of play. After 12 minutes of play, DINAMO's Adam Rednic made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Denis Miulescu was left in no man's land by his defense there! Călin Boteanu stood somewhat misplaced when Robert Popic came free in front of goal and shot 1-1 to the left of him in the 15 minute. Eugen Bobocea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Denis Miulescu having to interfere. In the 21st match minute, FC Izesti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Radu Stănilă to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot 30 in the game by Robert Popic from a close distance when the talented Călin Boteanu managed to make a qualified save. DINAMO's players were relieved. In the 36th match minute, DINAMO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Remus Șerbulea to maneuver through the defense. When the match had gone on for 38 minutes, Robert Popic put it in 3-1 from a short distance just to the right of Călin Boteanu. In the 41st minute, FC Izesti's Mihnea Petruescu ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Călin Boteanu. Călin Boteanu yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 4-1. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Adam Rednic stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Robert Popic in the 51st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Călin Boteanu saved DINAMO from getting behind. Călin Boteanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mihnea Petruescu in the 53rd minute of play. Călin Boteanu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Robert Popic's shot from short distance in the 61st minute. After 69 played minutes DINAMO got a freekick which was hit by Remus Șerbulea. When FC Izesti's Robert Popic in the 70th minute got a chance for a shot 70th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye DINAMO's goalie prevented a goal. In the 71st match minute, DINAMO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Remus Șerbulea to maneuver through the defense. Eugen Bobocea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 74 played minutes FC Izesti got a freekick which was hit by Radu Stănilă. Călin Boteanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robert Popic in the 82nd minute of play. In the 84thth minute of the game Robert Popic who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but DINAMO's Călin Boteanu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 85 minutes into the match, FC Izesti's Mihnea Petruescu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Călin Boteanu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 87 minutes into the match, DINAMO's goal looked a bit too open when Mihnea Petruescu came free, but Călin Boteanu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Călin Boteanu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Robert Popic, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. A collision led to DINAMO getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Remus Elisei hit a great ball. 96 minutes into the match, FC Izesti's Nichifor Atodiresei sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Călin Boteanu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. FC Izesti had won after a very even match.
