The supporters of Florilor United booed when Cavalerii Viola was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. David Cazimir didn't get a good kick on the ball. 11 minutes into the game, Alexandru Adomniței was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Florilor United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cavalerii Viola the free kick. After a rather tough play, Florilor United's Alexandru Adomniței got a free kick in the 12th minute. Paul Bărbat sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paul Bărbat in the 16th minute of play forced Florilor United's goalkeeper Gigel Diaconescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gigel Diaconescu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Paul Bărbat's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Remus Vrejiu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cavalerii Viola's supporters rose to their feet, but Remus Vrejiu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gigel Diaconescu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gigel Diaconescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paul Bărbat in the 29th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Cavalerii Viola's Ernest Tâlvescu got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Martin Argăseală showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Grigore Orășan, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Paul Bărbat struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Gigel Diaconescu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cavalerii Viola. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Grigore Orășan was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to Cavalerii Viola getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Sebastian Baldovin hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Grigore Orășan in the 54th minute of play forced Cavalerii Viola's goalkeeper Martin Argăseală to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Paul Bărbat kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Gigel Diaconescu. That made the score 0-1 in the 56 minute of play. Martin Argăseală showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Grigore Orășan in the 64th minute of the match. Florilor United's Gigel Diaconescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paul Bărbat in the 66th minute of play. 68 minutes into the game, Cavalerii Viola's Remus Vrejiu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gigel Diaconescu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Iustinian Vorniceanu hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Florilor United's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Paul Bărbat 73 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paul Bărbat in the 76th minute of play forced Florilor United's goalkeeper Gigel Diaconescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Grigore Orășan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Martin Argăseală came out of the goal in the 86th minute to try and stop a shot by Florilor United's Iustinian Vorniceanu. But to his dismay, Iustinian Vorniceanu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. Martin Argăseală showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Grigore Orășan, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute.
