The supporters of Scorpions -MM- booed when PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. The referee ignored Scorpions -MM-'s protests and gave Adam Alamaru a yellow card for diving instead. In the 39th match minute, Scorpions -MM- was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adam Alamaru to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Scorpions -MM-'s zone, Damian Cârlan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vali Surugiu came out of the goal and Damian Cârlan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Damian Cârlan's late challenge caught a Scorpions -MM-'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Damian Cârlan helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Scorpions -MM- booed when PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Damian Cârlan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cristian Fărcașu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 45th minute of the match, but Vlad Covrig made a huge save. In the 47th minute, Calistrat Şerbănescu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vali Surugiu was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. After the first half PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Calistrat Şerbănescu made the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Damian Cârlan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vali Surugiu was relentless in the 54th minute of the game. Eric Astafei charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eric Astafei the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Vali Surugiu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eric Astafei, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Damian Cârlan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 83rd minute, Calistrat Şerbănescu made a precise shot to the right of Vali Surugiu. Scorpions -MM-'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4.
