FC BaLiSt's Leonard Baran played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cazimir Ceaușu in the 9th minute of play. 9 minutes into the match, FC BaLiSt's goal looked a bit too open when Cazimir Ceaușu came free, but Leonard Baran reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 11 minutes into the match, Phoenix Strikers's goal looked a bit too open when Pompiliu Lechințan came free, but Isac Spirea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Phoenix Strikers getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Aristide Pârlea hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ionuț Vizitiu in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Isac Spirea prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Cazimir Gogu hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. In the 25th minute, Pompiliu Lechințan left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC BaLiSt fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. When Cazimir Gogu fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC BaLiSt's protests and gave Cazimir Gogu a yellow card for diving instead. In the 27th minute, Cazimir Gogu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Leonard Baran made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nistor Curcă in the 28th minute. Isac Spirea stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pompiliu Lechințan's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. Pompiliu Lechințan struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Isac Spirea didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC BaLiSt. Victor Frențiu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Victor Frențiu in the 42nd minute of play forced Phoenix Strikers's goalkeeper Isac Spirea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The wind increased when Denis Brânzaș made the kick off in the second half. 67 minutes into the match, Phoenix Strikers's Denis Brânzaș sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Leonard Baran narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Isac Spirea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pompiliu Lechințan in the 68th minute of play. 70 minutes into the game, Pompiliu Lechințan recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Isac Spirea. Pompiliu Lechințan showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cazimir Ceaușu in the 73rd minute of play forced FC BaLiSt's goalkeeper Leonard Baran to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 74th match minute, FC BaLiSt was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mircea Irod to maneuver through the defense. In the 77th minute Pompiliu Lechințan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Isac Spirea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 79th minute, David Mocanu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. FC BaLiSt made a substitution. Ovidiu Căliman replaced Cazimir Gogu. FC BaLiSt's Eusebiu Aurelianu was substituted for Victor Frențiu. A collision led to Phoenix Strikers getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. David Mocanu hit a great ball. In the 84th minute, FC BaLiSt's Ionuț Vizitiu dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-3. In the 87th minute, Costel Roşculeţ hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 91 minutes into the match, Phoenix Strikers's goal looked a bit too open when Ionuț Vizitiu came free, but Isac Spirea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. FC BaLiSt's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
