In the 7th minute, Silviu Stoian left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Rovine Craiova fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Silviu Stoian in the 9th minute of play forced Purcaresti CSS's goalkeeper Damian Toader to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Damian Toader showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Octav Chițu in the 12th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Silviu Stoian in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Damian Toader prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 19th match minute, Purcaresti CSS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Costică Pacurar to maneuver through the defense. Silviu Stoian recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Damian Toader stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Silviu Stoian's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. Silviu Stoian took the ball and in the 24 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Damian Toader. Damian Toader dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. In the 32nd minute, one of Purcaresti CSS:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Purcaresti CSS. Purcaresti CSS:s Damian Toader showed great skill when he stopped Octav Chițu:s penalty. In the 38th minute, Ştefan Ene hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 43rd minute, Silviu Stoian ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Damian Toader was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. 46 minutes into the match, Purcaresti CSS's goal looked a bit too open when Ionuț Oroveanu came free, but Damian Toader reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ionuț Oroveanu struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Damian Toader didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rovine Craiova. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dinu Aursulesei to make the kick off. Octav Chițu struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Damian Toader didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rovine Craiova. Octav Chițu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Damian Toader read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 60th minute of play. Damian Toader made an important save on a dangerous shot by Silviu Stoian in the 64th minute. After a rather tough play, Purcaresti CSS's Gigi Drăgan got a free kick in the 66th minute. Ernest Dăianu's late challenge caught a Rovine Craiova's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ernest Dăianu helped the player get up and apologised. In the 74th minute, Ernest Dăianu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rovine Craiova's Ionică Drâmba shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 77th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Damian Toader but with some difficulty. A hard shot 79 in the game by Silviu Stoian from a close distance when the talented Damian Toader managed to make a qualified save. Purcaresti CSS's players were relieved. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Silviu Stoian managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rovine Craiova's supporters rose to their feet, but Silviu Stoian was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Damian Toader breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A hard shot 87 in the game by Silviu Stoian from a close distance when the talented Damian Toader managed to make a qualified save. Purcaresti CSS's players were relieved. After 88 played minutes Purcaresti CSS got a freekick which was hit by Aron Teodorescu.
