In the 3rd match minute, Club Sportiv Medgidia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cazimir Panait to maneuver through the defense. Lucrețiu Manolache showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stelian Hulubei in the 8th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Panait Guriță got free with Nicu Arghirescu in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 18th match minute, FC Politehnica Timisoara was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iordache Buzgar to maneuver through the defense. Lucrețiu Manolache showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Augustin Horea in the 20th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Club Sportiv Medgidia's Cazimir Panait got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Nicu Arghirescu was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Panait Guriță showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 24 minute of play. 32 minutes into the game, Stelian Hulubei was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Club Sportiv Medgidia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Politehnica Timisoara the free kick. A collision led to Club Sportiv Medgidia getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Stelian Hulubei hit a great ball. Nicu Arghirescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pompiliu Pantiș in the 34th minute of play. When Horea Aplugăriței came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Club Sportiv Medgidia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Horea Aplugăriței couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, FC Politehnica Timisoara's Anton Dugulescu got a free kick in the 44th minute. Horea Aplugăriței took the ball and in the 46 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lucrețiu Manolache. Lucrețiu Manolache dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Panait Guriță made a kick off. Nicu Arghirescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nicu Isăilă in the 54th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stelian Hulubei in the 56th minute of play forced FC Politehnica Timisoara's goalkeeper Lucrețiu Manolache to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to FC Politehnica Timisoara getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Anton Dugulescu hit a great ball. Liviu Alupulesei kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Augustin Horea got free with Lucrețiu Manolache in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Club Sportiv Medgidia's Sebastian Matei got a free kick in the 70th minute. After 72 played minutes, FC Politehnica Timisoara's Anton Dugulescu shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Nicu Arghirescu came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in FC Politehnica Timisoara reached it. Lucrețiu Manolache was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Augustin Horea showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-3 in the 75 minute of play. Cazimir Panait recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 86th match minute, FC Politehnica Timisoara was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Claudiu Azamfirei to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Club Sportiv Medgidia getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Romeo Ungur hit a great ball. Manole Constantinescu's long shot made the audience stand up and applaude when it rumbled by Nicu Arghirescu on his right side and into the goal. 92 minutes into the game it was 2-3. When the match was over Club Sportiv Medgidia could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than FC Politehnica Timisoara throughout the match.
