After a rather tough play, Vama Veche ™'s Adrian Paraschivescu got a free kick in the 44th minute. Marcel Iliescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Ivan Strugure tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Ivan Strugure showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Niculae Oproiu in the 61st minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marioara Birligea got free with Ivan Strugure in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Vama Veche ™'s Ivan Strugure got control of the ball when Marioara Birligea tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Adrian Paraschivescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.
