Costel Cobzeanu kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. After 8 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Delphine Stars! Delphine Stars:s Petruț Ţopescu showed great skill when he stopped Jo Bag:s penalty. The supporters of Delphine Stars booed when Galati Harbour Cats was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adrian Baldazar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mugur Gorcea took the ball and in the 28 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised George Agachi. George Agachi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Vali Ghețea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Petruț Ţopescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 42nd minute, Cristian Dorian left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Delphine Stars fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. A collision led to Galati Harbour Cats getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Traian Slătineanu hit a great ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Costel Cobzeanu in the 54th minute of play forced Galati Harbour Cats's goalkeeper George Agachi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Galati Harbour Cats's George Agachi got control of the ball when Costel Cobzeanu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Petruț Ţopescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jo Bag, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 64th match minute, Galati Harbour Cats was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cosmin Claudiescu to maneuver through the defense. Delphine Stars's Marcel Cristache got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Galati Harbour Cats's George Agachi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Galati Harbour Cats from getting a goal against them. If Cristian Dorian had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. George Agachi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cristian Dorian went, in the 70th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-5 was the resulting score. After 81 minutes Delphine Stars's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Jo Bag who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Galati Harbour Cats's corner Jo Bag fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Petruț Ţopescu quite easily take care of the ball. George Agachi was a little too slow when Cristian Dorian got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 94th minute. The score was now 1-6. Delphine Stars played a much better game than Galati Harbour Cats and deserved their victory. The Galati Harbour Cats players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
