The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of F.C. After 12 played minutes Delphine Stars got a freekick which was hit by Mugur Gorcea. When Mugur Gorcea came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Delphine Stars fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mugur Gorcea couldn't finish the play. Costel Cobzeanu who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 16thth minute tested the skills of Ike Schmeichel when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 24thth minute of the game Virgil Macrea who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Delphine Stars's Petruț Ţopescu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Costel Cobzeanu got free with Ike Schmeichel in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 28th minute Virgil Macrea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Petruț Ţopescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 31st minute, Virgil Macrea made a precise shot to the right of Petruț Ţopescu. Delphine Stars's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Cazimir Puișoru's late challenge caught a Delphine Stars's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. YKE's goal looked a bit too open when Costel Cobzeanu came free, but Ike Schmeichel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The corner led Delphine Stars's Marcel Cristache to fire away a dangerous shot which Ike Schmeichel despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Răzvan Balaban's late challenge caught a F.C. YKE's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Răzvan Balaban helped the player get up and apologised. In the 68th minute, Răzvan Balaban hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Virgil Macrea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Delphine Stars's zone, Cazimir Puișoru stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Petruț Ţopescu came out of the goal and Cazimir Puișoru tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 79 minutes into the game, Mugur Gorcea cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Ike Schmeichel was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Mugur Gorcea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to F.C. YKE getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Panait Enășoiu hit a great ball. The supporters of F.C. YKE booed when Delphine Stars was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mugur Gorcea didn't get a good kick on the ball. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
