Spectators: 152 (Terracing: 114, Seating: 35, VIP seats: 3) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Vasile Baicea took the kick off in the first half of the match. Ivan Burileanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Cornel Cartiș tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 5 minutes into the match, New York Red Bulls's goal looked a bit too open when Denis Negruț came free, but Cornel Cartiș reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cornel Cartiș showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Denis Negruț in the 9th minute of the match. Cornel Cartiș made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Denis Negruț in the 10th minute of play. 19 minutes into the match, New York Red Bulls's goal looked a bit too open when Denis Negruț came free, but Cornel Cartiș reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cornel Cartiș showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dan Berca, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Nicu Vintilescu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 26th minute Dan Berca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cornel Cartiș saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cornel Cartiș made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Petrică Ţirpescu in the 27th minute of play. 30 minutes into the match, New York Red Bulls's goal looked a bit too open when Ivan Burileanu came free, but Cornel Cartiș reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cornel Cartiș made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ivan Burileanu in the 31st minute of play. 34 minutes into the game, Unicorns ™'s Ivan Burileanu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cornel Cartiș made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Cornel Cartiș took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Petrică Ţirpescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 48th minute, New York Red Bulls's Manuel Ciocan seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Manuel Ciocan the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of New York Red Bulls protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Manuel Ciocan had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 47th minute, one of New York Red Bulls:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for New York Red Bulls. In the 50th minute there was a penalty for Unicorns ™. Petrică Ţirpescu stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Cornel Cartiș. 0-2. After the first half Unicorns ™ were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Denis Negruț made the kick off in the second half. Denis Negruț took the ball and in the 59 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cornel Cartiș. Cornel Cartiș dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Unicorns ™'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Petrică Ţirpescu in the 72nd minute. Cornel Cartiș made an important save on a dangerous shot by Denis Negruț in the 76th minute. Cornel Cartiș made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ivan Burileanu in the 78th minute of play. Denis Negruț scored 0-5 in the 81st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cornel Cartiș, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. New York Red Bulls's Cornel Cartiș proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save New York Red Bulls from getting a goal against them. After 86 minutes, Nistor Spirea mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the New York Red Bulls and the Unicorns ™ players grew even worse after the yellow card. 88 minutes into the match, New York Red Bulls's goal looked a bit too open when Ivan Burileanu came free, but Cornel Cartiș reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cornel Cartiș made an important save on a dangerous shot by Denis Negruț in the 94th minute. Petrică Ţirpescu's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Cornel Cartiș firmly grabbed it by the left post. 97 minutes into the match, New York Red Bulls's goalkeeper Cornel Cartiș had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Denis Negruț.
