The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mugur Popescu in the 2nd minute of play forced Unicorns ™'s goalkeeper Isac Drâmba to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cristian Mărăcuță hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. Unicorns ™'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Petrică Ţirpescu in the 8th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Aurel Urdoi during the 9th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Muget fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 8th minute. Penalty! 13 minutes into the match, Denis Negruț had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sebastian Zogreanu. Muget's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Denis Negruț was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Unicorns ™'s Isac Drâmba proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Unicorns ™ from getting a goal against them. 19 minutes into the match, Unicorns ™'s goal looked a bit too open when Olimpiu Giurgiu came free, but Isac Drâmba reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 20 played minutes Muget got a freekick which was hit by Cristian Mărăcuță. Petrică Ţirpescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sebastian Zogreanu having to interfere. In the 26th minute, Denis Negruț made a precise shot to the right of Sebastian Zogreanu. Muget's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Isac Drâmba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mugur Popescu in the 29th minute of play. After 30 played minutes Unicorns ™ got a freekick which was hit by Iacob Surdu. In the 34th minute, Șerban Vulpăşin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 35thth minute of the game Denis Negruț who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Muget's Sebastian Zogreanu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 37 minutes into the match, Unicorns ™'s Petrică Ţirpescu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sebastian Zogreanu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Muget's Sabin Golescu was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 44th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mugur Popescu to strike the kick off in the second half. Mugur Popescu scored 2-2 in the 51st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Isac Drâmba, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Isac Drâmba stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mugur Popescu's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. In the 57th minute Sabin Golescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Isac Drâmba saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mugur Popescu in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Isac Drâmba saved Unicorns ™ from getting behind. Șerban Vulpăşin kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Ivan Burileanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Sebastian Zogreanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sabin Golescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Isac Drâmba having to interfere. Iacob Surdu charged in rather forcefully in the 70th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Iacob Surdu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Iacob Surdu kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. In the 72nd minute, Denis Negruț hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mugur Popescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Isac Drâmba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mugur Popescu in the 82nd minute of play. The supporters of Muget booed when Unicorns ™ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iacob Surdu didn't get a good kick on the ball. 86 minutes into the match, Mugur Popescu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Isac Drâmba. Unicorns ™'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mugur Popescu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. With a little luck, Muget's Sebastian Zogreanu got control of the ball when Denis Negruț tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Unicorns ™ booed when Muget was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Șerban Vulpăşin didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 94 minutes, Ivan Burileanu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Unicorns ™'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Ivan Burileanu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
