Spectators: 154 (Terracing: 116, Seating: 35, VIP seats: 3) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Iustinian Drăghincescu kicked off to start the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Augustin Gorjanu in the 4th minute of play forced New York Red Bulls's goalkeeper Cornel Cartiș to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the New York Red Bulls defense, Iustinian Drăghincescu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cornel Cartiș. The New York Red Bulls fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cornel Cartiș should have stopped the shot. In the 9th minute, Augustin Gorjanu made a precise shot to the right of Cornel Cartiș. New York Red Bulls's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Cornel Cartiș made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristinel Trapcea in the 20th minute of play. Cornel Cartiș showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Augustin Gorjanu in the 21st minute of the match. Mihail Ifrim kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. If Vasile Baicea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 26th minute, Cristinel Trapcea left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC GURZUN fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Mihail Ifrim hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. In the 32nd minute Vasile Baicea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cătălin Dăianu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cătălin Dăianu made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Vasile Baicea sent off a good shot on target. In a very dangerous position, a player in New York Red Bulls fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 38th minute. Penalty! Mihail Ifrim shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. After 41 played minutes New York Red Bulls got a freekick which was hit by Martin Galiceanu. After 42 played minutes, FC GURZUN's Mihail Ifrim shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Cornel Cartiș came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in FC GURZUN reached it. In the 43rd minute Cristinel Trapcea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cornel Cartiș saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 45 minutes into the match, Mihail Ifrim had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cornel Cartiș. New York Red Bulls's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mihail Ifrim was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4.

Vintilă Ielciu kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. New York Red Bulls's defense didn't have a chance, in the 52nd minute, when Cristinel Trapcea scored to the left of an out of position Cornel Cartiș, making the score, 0-5. Cornel Cartiș took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Augustin Gorjanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 57 minutes into the game, Augustin Gorjanu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC GURZUN's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave New York Red Bulls the free kick. In the 57th minute, Augustin Gorjanu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 62 minutes into the match, Iustinian Drăghincescu notched a goal, 0-6, to the right of New York Red Bulls's Cornel Cartiș. Cornel Cartiș was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Cezar Ailenei received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Cătălin Dăianu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 71 minutes, Iustinian Drăghincescu took a quick shot and it went in 0-7 without a chance for Cornel Cartiș to make any attempt to save it. New York Red Bulls's Cornel Cartiș proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save New York Red Bulls from getting a goal against them. Cornel Cartiș made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Cristinel Trapcea sent off a good shot on target. Petrică Negreanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cătălin Dăianu having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Iustinian Drăghincescu got free with Cornel Cartiș in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. New York Red Bulls's Cornel Cartiș proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save New York Red Bulls from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, New York Red Bulls's Vasile Baicea got a free kick in the 87th minute. Cornel Cartiș showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mihail Ifrim, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Cornel Cartiș showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristinel Trapcea in the 92nd minute of the match. Cornel Cartiș made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Augustin Gorjanu in the 93rd minute of play. Augustin Gorjanu received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Cornel Cartiș came out and tried to block the shot, but Augustin Gorjanu slotted it home off the left post making it 0-8 in the 96th minute. FC GURZUN played a much better game than New York Red Bulls and deserved their victory. The New York Red Bulls players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
