After 16 minutes, Codrin Chihaia mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC TraLaLa and the FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to FC TraLaLa getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Codrin Chihaia hit a great ball. FC TraLaLa's Sorin Comarnescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aron Neaga in the 22nd minute of play. In the 29th minute, Vasile Leucuța hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Corneliu Bungescu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marian Bălan having to make a save. FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt's Marian Bălan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt from getting a goal against them. Vasile Leucuța was extremely unlucky when he, in the 41st minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Marian Bălan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Albert Dănănae in the 47th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

After some fancy dribbling in the 50th minute, Corneliu Bungescu managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC TraLaLa's supporters rose to their feet, but Corneliu Bungescu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. In the 82nd minute Valer Opincaru shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sorin Comarnescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to FC TraLaLa getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Corneliu Bungescu hit a great ball. Vasile Leucuța fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marian Bălan having to interfere. The supporters of FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt booed when FC TraLaLa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vasile Leucuța didn't get a good kick on the ball. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. FC TraLaLa were victorious despite being under pressure from FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt for much of the match.
