The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience thought a goal was coming when Liviu Achimescu got free with Marcu Tărbac in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Marcu Tărbac took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Liviu Achimescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 22 played minutes FC TraLaLa got a freekick which was hit by Ernest Porumboiu. After a rather tough play, The Owls's Iustin Chira got a free kick in the 24th minute. Marcu Tărbac made an important save on a dangerous shot by Traian Arsene in the 26th minute. Cristian Ciocâltea kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. With a little luck, FC TraLaLa's Marcu Tărbac got control of the ball when Traian Arsene tried to sneak it across the goal line. Bogdan Vornicu kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. Horea Cârnațiu's late challenge caught a FC TraLaLa's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. Horea Cârnațiu hit a great ball. After 44 minutes, Aron Bratoloveanu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC TraLaLa and the The Owls players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 44th minute, Aron Bratoloveanu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 45 played minutes FC TraLaLa got a freekick which was hit by Vasile Leucuța. Marcu Tărbac made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Traian Arsene sent off a good shot on target. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Liviu Achimescu was the one to do the kick off. Marcu Tărbac showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bogdan Vornicu in the 52nd minute of the match. Ion Crivac made an important save on a dangerous shot by Albert Dănănae in the 55th minute. Marcu Tărbac showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Liviu Huștea, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute.
